De betekenis achter bijzondere tatoeages
De tentoonstelling My Chinese Character Tattoo vertelt de verhalen van mensen met een tatoeage van één of meer Chinese karakters en legt uit waarom ze die hebben laten zetten. Journaliste Nies Medema fotografeerde en interviewde acht mensen met zulke tatoeages. Onder hen een zoon en kleinzoon van een ‘echte Pindachinees’, een Chi Gong lerares, een studente fotografie en een medewerker van de Roteb.
De foto’s en verhalen waren in 2011 en 2012 te bewonderen in de etalage van Tattoo Bob, Delistraat 4-10.

leuk en interressant idee! ik ben momenteel bezig met een chinese rugtattoeage het eerste deel zit er op, de bovenkant van mij rug en schouderbladen, het bevat de chinese astrologische geboortetekens van mijn drie zoons en mij, een herdenkingsscroll aan mijn overleden vriend en diverse elementen , water, vuur, lucht en aarde.Tevens komen er nog twee oosterse maskers ,waarbij de een huilt en de ander lacht. laat maar horen of het wat is voor jullie tentoonstelling.

Peter, excuus dat ik zo laat reageer, ik zie je reactie net pas. Het klinkt prachtig, ik wil het graag een keer zien. De tentoonstelling is al bijna klaar, ga vandaag de selectie van foto’s naar het foto lab brengen. Jammer!
Misschien wil je erover vertellen bij de opening? op 2 juli?
